Halo Infinite Winter Contingency Challenges

The Battle Pass and multiplayer menus tell you the Winter Contingency challenge are live, but you won't find them in the weekly challenge rotation, ever. That's because they don't exist. Despite the game's language, there are no event-specific challenges in Winter Contingency.

How to Get Winter Contingency Rewards in Halo Infinite

With no Winter Contingency challenges, how're you supposed to earn rewards? You may rightly ask. 343 buried the answer in a brief Waypoint blog post. You just have to play either a Big Team Battle match or a Quick Play match once per day to clear a "challenge" and earn a reward.

There are 10 rewards in total, including two weapon skins, the Peppermint Laughter armor coating, and some emblems for your Spartan nametag.

There's only one Winter Contingency challenge, so to speak, per day. Completing extra Quick Play or Big Team Battle matches won't earn you any extra XP or clear other challenges, so keep that in mind if you're wanting to power through the event rewards (because you can't).

The event rewards give your MA40 Rifle and Sidekick pistol a seasonal makeover, but if you get tired of them, we've got guides for how to use all of Halo Infinite's weapons, including the Shock Rifle, Bulldog Shotgun, and the humble Plasma Pistol.
