As one of the core crafting materials in Infinity Nikki, Floof Yarn is key to creating outfits and progressing in the world of Miraland.

However, tracking Floof Yarn isn’t as simple as picking it up off the ground.

This article will guide you on collecting Floof Yarn efficiently in Infinity Nikki.

How To Get Animal Grooming Ability

You need Nikki to have the Animal Grooming ability to gather Floof Yarn, which you unlock after crafting the Bye-Bye Dust outfit.

This outfit is introduced during the Land of Wishes quest when you meet Jean and Ruby near the Great Wishtree in Florawish.

They need Floof Yarn to patch up the tree’s strings, so you’re off on a mission to find the outfit. The first step is to gather the necessary materials for crafting:

  • Whimstars are glowing orbs spread out across Florawish. Use Momo’s View to locate and track them. You can find Whimstars hanging around the key locations in town.
  • Daisies are scattered across the grassy regions by the Great Wishtree.
  • Threads of Purity can be earned through quests, monster fights, or opening chests.

After you have the materials, head into the Heart of Infinity menu and use two Whimstars to get the blueprint for the Bye-Bye Dust outfit.

Go to the Sketch section, locate the blueprint, and make the outfit with your collected materials.

Once Nikki’s Animal Grooming ability is active, Floof Yarn is ready to collect.

How To Collect Floof Yarn

Floofs are where Floof Yarn comes from; you’ll find most of it in Florawish.

These fluffy, dog-like creatures are recognizable thanks to their braided fur and wagging tails.

You can usually find Floofs near the Great Wishtree and the square in Florawish, walking around on the paved paths.

You can also find spots in Florawish around the Mayor’s Residence, the Kingdom Guards’ Office, and shops like Ray and Wing’s or Ritly’s stall.

Besides Florawish, you can find Floofs in places like Breezy Meadow, Stoneville, and the Abandoned District, though there aren't as many.

Explore these areas steadily to find Floofs, as they often roam through busy zones and wide-open fields.

Be aware that their curious nature can easily startle them, so approach slowly to avoid scaring them off.

Once you’ve crafted the Bye-Bye Dust outfit, equip it to unlock the Animal Grooming ability.

Don’t rush around Floofs; they get scared and might bolt if you’re too quick.

Walk slowly until you see the brush icon above the Floof’s head so you can interact with it.

Tap the grooming button to start a short cutscene where Nikki brushes the Floof and gathers a strand of Floof Yarn.

Heads up, you can only groom Floofs once a day. The daily cap resets at 4:00 server time, so plan your farming.

If you run low on Floof Yarn, return to the common spots each day or find other ways to gather more.

Take advantage of the in-game tracking features to make your Floof Yarn farming more efficient.

Click the notebook icon in the bottom-left corner to open the map and access the collection tracker. This marks the locations where Floofs are usually found.

Collect 50 pieces of Floof Yarn to unlock the Precise Tracking feature, which marks exact Floof locations on the map.

You can also keep things casual by sending your companions out to collect materials using the Dig, Pear-Pal feature.

This is an efficient way to build up Floof Yarn passively without having to track down Floofs.

Another option is to buy Floof Yarn from the Resonance Store using Tranquility Droplets, though purchases are limited to a month.

It takes a little effort to get started, but once you have the Bye-Bye Dust outfit and know where to look for Floofs, grabbing Floof Yarn is simple. How do you usually farm Floof Yarn in Infinity Nikki?
