Evolving takes seven Calm Thoughts and other resources like Bling, Thread of Purity, and a duplicate of the outfit.

How To Get Calm Thoughts
To earn Calm Thoughts in Infinity Nikki, you must advance through the main storyline and complete specific challenges.
Chapter 7 of the main story is where you’ll first have the chance to pick up Calm Thoughts. This chapter finishes with a showdown against Chigda (or Esseling in some versions).
When you defeat this boss for the first time, you'll earn three Calm Thoughts.
But since it takes seven Calm Thoughts to evolve an outfit, this first reward isn’t enough.
Once you finish Chapter 7, you'll get access to the Realm of Breakthrough, where you can grab more Calm Thoughts.
You can access this domain and challenge the Chapter 7 boss every week through the warp spires.
For each challenge you pass, you get three Calm Thoughts, but each try uses up 60 Vital Energy, so be smart about your resources.
If you pre-registered, you might have been rewarded with seven Calm Thoughts as part of a special offer.
Even if you missed pre-registration, the developers later made this reward accessible to everyone. To collect it, simply check your in-game mailbox.

How To Use Calm Thoughts
Evolving outfits with Calm Thoughts involves a few steps, and you’ll need to have everything you need on hand.
Start by opening the Pear-Pal menu and heading to the Evolution section. This menu shows all the outfits you can evolve.
Choose the outfit you want to level up to see the requirements.
In most cases, you’ll need seven Calm Thoughts, 30k Bling, 100 Threads of Purity, and a duplicate outfit.
You won't need Calm Thoughts when you get outfits through gacha or premium purchases—just extra copies of the outfit work.
Before finalizing your evolution, you can check out the outfit's alternate color scheme by clicking the hourglass icon in the menu.
This will help you confirm that the updated appearance matches your expectations. Once you are satisfied, click Evolve to apply the changes.
