Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, an upcoming mobile RPG that was teased a few years ago. This is the first time fans have seen more of the game, and it looks like it could be one quality mobile RPG.
In the trailer below, we see that this mobile title has connections to previous entries like Union X, showing some of the main characters from that game. However, it quickly shifts to the events of this new entry, showing off characters we’ve never seen before and, of course, classic Disney favorites.
Rather than a simplified experience made for mobile, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link actually looks like a mainline entry in the series. The visuals look a lot like Kingdom Hearts 3, albeit, with a downgrade, since this is a game meant to be played on mobile.
What makes Missing-Link so interesting is that Square Enix is hyping up the fact that players can enjoy this mobile RPG without leaving the house. Despite being a mobile title, it was also revealed that Missing-Link can be played with Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Naturally, there is hope that the RPG will be ported to PC later on, maybe even current consoles.
Luckily, Square Enix has a history of bringing over mobile games to gaming computers after a certain amount of time. The company has confirmed that a Steam version of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is currently in the works. We’ve also seen every instalment in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series come to console, though it was quite the wait.
Although this trailer for Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is plenty exciting, fans are also annoyed at the lack of Kingdom Hearts 4 updates. Square Enix only ever released one trailer for the game and hasn’t said anything since, so all we can do is hope they’re hard at work.
