Safi’s car vandalism in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is one of several key events that Max explores to understand the circumstances surrounding her death.

The car incident is important as it seems connected to the damage occurring around the time of Safi's death, with the cow skull as key evidence. This article covers inspecting the cow skull to learn about Safi's fate.

How To Inspect the Cow Skull in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure

This skull, however, originates from the Snapping Turtle bar in the Dead World, where it used to hang above the stage.

The goal of inspecting the skull is to uncover clues that might lead to identifying who was responsible for the vandalism and possibly Safi’s murder in the alternate timeline.

The investigation begins after talking with Safi in the Living World, where she reveals that her car was vandalized with a cow skull.

To inspect the skull, you first need to travel to the Dead World using Max's ability to shift between the two worlds.

The shift point is located near the bathrooms inside the Snapping Turtle. Once there, make your way to the stage, where you can see the skull hanging, but Max can't inspect it because she's too short.

At this point, she recalls seeing a stepladder somewhere in the Living World. You need to shift back to the Living World and head towards the Christmas tree near the front of the bar, where you'll find the stepladder.

Pick it up and return to the Dead World by shifting again through the portal near the bathrooms. Back in the Dead World, place the stepladder under the cow skull to raise Max so she can get a better look.

During the inspection, rotate the skull until you notice a signature on one of the horns. The engraved name belongs to Lucas Colmenero, a professor and head of the Literature Department at Caledon University.

He is also a well-known author, renowned for his work, but has a reputation for being cocky and self-centered. This clue opens up a new direction in the investigation, connecting the skull to a possible suspect in Safi’s case.

After thoroughly inspecting the skull, Max can return to the Living World to speak with Amanda at the bar, where more context about the skull's involvement in Safi’s case will be revealed.
