The more you investigate, the more Lucas becomes a bigger deal in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Lucas may not come off as guilty, but his briefcase contents say otherwise.
His briefcase includes delicate personal items linked to his issues with Safi. This article shows how to unlock Lucas' briefcase and uncover its secrets.
How To Unlock Lucas’ Briefcase in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
Lucas has a competitive relationship with Safi, as both are writers at Caldero University.
After being lauded for his debut novel, Lucas found it hard to replicate that success, leading to growing resentment as Safi gained fame.
Max initially suspected that Lucas could be responsible for vandalizing Safi’s car in the Living World, especially after inspecting the cow skull.
Over time, Max becomes even more convinced that Lucas might be connected to Safi's death.
Early in the game, you discover his suspicious behavior when he locks his briefcase in the Living World after a conversation with Max.
You must distract him by shifting between the Living and Dead Worlds to uncover what Lucas is hiding.
You’ll notice his odd protectiveness over the briefcase during an encounter in the Living World. He locks it and leaves with the key after receiving a phone call.
You need to shift to the Dead World using a portal found near Max’s photography exhibit or by the boy statue. In the Dead World, you can interact with Lucas once more, and this is where the distraction trick comes in.
Lucas has an ego-driven standee of himself in this timeline, which you'll use to divert his attention. Grab a permanent marker from the café counter and vandalize the standee, giving him a black eye or devil horns.
You can even snap a photo of the defaced standee and post it on the Crosstalk app for extra fun. Once the vandalism is done, return to Lucas and break the news.
As expected, he will dash over to check the damage and leave the key on the table. This is your chance to snatch the briefcase key.
Afterward, shift back to the Living World using one of the portals and head back to where Lucas originally left his briefcase.
Now, you can unlock it and uncover its contents with the key. Inside, you’ll find a restraining order filed against Safi.
After uncovering the contents of Lucas' briefcase, would you decide to inform Safi about what you found or keep it hidden, siding with Lucas instead? Comment down below!
