Eternal Night Falls may be the main theme of the current Season 01 of Marvel Rivals, but the devs at NetEase haven’t forgotten to cash in on the holidays.

Though Valentine’s doesn’t come with a lot of skins, Marvel Rivals has revealed an interesting wedding bundle for the game’s most famous couple, Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

A Love Story for the Ages

Just in, Marvel Rivals has revealed ‘Life Fantastic’ costumes for Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. Check out the official announcement:

Their appearance is actually based on the comic Fantastic Four: The Wedding Special, which came out back in 2005. While Sue Storm is looking pretty as ever, a lot of fans have noted that Reed Richards also looks very different here sporting a clean-shaven look, closer to his longtime appearance in the comics.

It’s also nice that the devs gave Reed a suit because in the comics he just marries Sue in his Fantastic Four costume. To be fair, other heroes in the ceremony were just wearing their supersuits as well.

As far as costumes go, it doesn’t look like there are any changes, but it does seem like wedding bells will be playing whenever the two activate their ultimates (if the trailer is to be believed).

The two also have different wedding-themed emotes. Reed looks at his engagement ring, and Sue smells her wedding bouquet. They also look to have an MVP highlight that has the both of them sharing a wedding cake.

So far, Reed and Sue have been enjoying the spotlight since they debuted in the game when Season 1 started. While they’re getting most of the attention from players now, a lot of fans know that later this month will also see the arrival of the second half of the Fantastic Four, the Human Torch, also known as Johnny Storm and the Thing, the alter ego of Ben Grimm.

While no official reveals have been made for both Johnny and Ben, the leaks have somewhat confirmed that Torch will be a duelist, with the Thing taking on the role of a vanguard.

Johnny will be able to zip around the map causing all kinds of firestorms to cause damage to enemies, and the Thing will be able to use his signature rocky powerset to absorb damage and beat down the enemy team.

While there are specific team-up powers for each member with other heroes (like Thing also being able to toss Wolverine), a lot of fans are expecting the Fantastic Four to have their own team-up special.

After all, recruiting four of them in one team is already guaranteed to be a well-balanced team with two duelists, a vanguard, and a strategist. Hopefully, NetEase has thought of a power-up for gathering a total team of four people as compared to just the usual two.

The Life Fantastic costumes for the Invisible Woman and Reed Richards come to Marvel Rivals on Feb. 14. Rivals is now available to play for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
