If you’ve played Marvel Rivals, you know that teamwork is everything—but sometimes, it’s not just the game that can get in the way of a good time.

Thankfully, Marvel Rivals allows you to mute or block players, allowing you to play without the noise.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to keep your experience smooth and enjoyable.

In case of an uncomfortable interaction with a teammate or opponent, you can block them to stop any further contact.

To block someone, head to the Friends tab in the main menu.

From there, head to the Recent Players section, where you'll find a list of players you've recently played with.

After finding the player you'd like to block, click on their profile. Then, you can either Avoid them as Teammates or Add them to the Blocklist.

If you choose "Avoid," you won’t be paired with that player for three days, which is good for quick disruptions.

But if the situation is more persistent or problematic, you can Add to the Blocklist to avoid being paired with that player in future games.

Alternatively, you can block a player from the Career page. You can access your recent match history and block any problematic players directly here.

If you want to unblock someone later, you can visit the Blocked Players list in the Friends tab, select the player, and hit Unblock.

How To Mute

Muting players in Marvel Rivals can be a game-changer for keeping things smooth and focused, especially when there is too much noise or toxic vibes.

Whether you’re playing on a PC or console, muting a player is straightforward, although the steps slightly differ depending on the platform.

To open the Match Settings menu on PC, press P once the match begins.

Here, you’ll see a list of all players in the match, and next to each player’s name, there are icons for both voice and text chat.

To mute voice chat, select the microphone icon next to the player's name, and to mute text chat, choose the speech bubble icon.

The process is about the same on consoles, but you’ll use the Start or Options button instead of the P key to open the Match Settings menu mid-game.

You can mute both voice and text chat when you're there by hitting the icons next to each player's name.

You can remap a button on console to reach the mute options faster by opening the Match Settings.

You can also turn off certain chat messages, like team or faction ones, through the Social tab in settings.

Unfortunately, you can’t automatically mute enemy team chat.
