If Marvel Rivals has managed to impress on one front, it’s the amount of characters they’ve been able to add to the game.
Besides launching with over 30 heroes, Season 1 promises more character drops with the whole Fantastic Four roster.
The season also includes new maps, and some fans have noticed a possible tease for an upcoming hero—not just any hero, but a part-time X-Man.
Dazzler Coming to Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals had just revealed their Midtown map, which contained easter eggs for characters like the Fantastic Four, Kingpin, and Captain America. However, some fans had spotted what could be a teaser for the Dazzler.
However, the easter egg that caught fans’ eyes was a poster for Dazzler and her “Light the World” world tour.
While this could have just been a simple easter egg, for the character, fans have noticed that Dazzler’s signature is also on the poster, and each hero in the game also has their signature revealed pre-game.
The poster isn’t the only hint at the Dazzler either. Kotaku has pointed out that a pre-game exchange between Star-Lord and Luna Snow will have Quill asking Snow whether she knows Dazzler, seeing that she’s also in the music business.
With more obscure characters like Cloak & Dagger and Magik making their way into the player roster, Dazzler may seem like a possibility down the line. She’s been a longtime fan-favorite, and they can pretty much have her team-up with Luna, seeing they’re both musicians.
Incoming Characters
Though it’s been revealed that the Fantastic Four would be introduced in Season 1, there were some Marvel Rivals characters that were leaked that look to have been delayed in the meantime.
Ultron was one character that was getting a lot of coverage online as well as the vampire hunter Blade, but for now it looks like the focus is going to be on the arrival of Marvel’s First Family; and to think that the perfect hero to be introduced during a season where Dracula is the main villain would have been the Daywalker himself.
Other leaked characters for the game that are possibly coming down the line include Hit-Monkey, MODOK, Emma Frost, Phoenix/Jean Grey, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Valkyrie, and Thor’s sister Angela.
Most Requested Characters
Going back to Dazzler, she’s just one of several heroes that have been wanted for Marvel Rivals ever since the game roster was announced. Other X-Men that fans have been asking for include Cyclops, Rogue, Beast, and even Professor X. There have also been calls for some Disney+ heroes to get their spotlight like Daredevil, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel.
Other obscure heroes include Gwenpool, who is the owner of Jeff the Land Shark in the comics. There’s also the other popular Spider-Man variants like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen—but maybe they can just be unique skins for Peter Parker in the game, complete with new voices.
Marvel Rivals is currently available for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. Season 1 is currently ongoing.
