Planning ahead and using smart tactics can make collecting ingredients much easier. Merchants provide discounts on Idlesdays and might restock with rare items, so it’s wise to prioritize shopping on these days.

Daily visits to the Gauntlet Runner’s pantry are just as important, as it provides free ingredients, including rare finds like Gauntlet Shrooms.

Fishing at night near the campfire on the Runner increases your chances of catching magical creatures such as the Dreameater Moth or Lumibee.

Don’t forget to pack specialized baits (like tail bait) to catch rare fish and craft the best meals in the game. Tail Bait is available if you lend a hand to the man in need at the Arenafront Wharf area of Port Brilehaven.

Going with a luck-based archetype like Merchant can also boost your chances of getting ingredients from monsters, so you’ll have plenty of materials after battles.

You might also want to unlock Maria’s Chef’s Chops skill, as it lets you prepare several meals without wasting any time.
