It’s safe to say Minecraft Legends didn’t quite take off as Mojang and Xbox had hoped, but it is still being supported heavily by the devs, receiving its “biggest update ever”.
This update focuses on adding a whole host of new units including the likes of The Witch, The Fearless Frog, and The Clanger, each offering up unique abilities, whether it be friend or foe.
The Witch looks to fight back against those nasty Piglins using poisonous potions aplenty, but you do have to coax them out of their hideaways to join your party. Coupled with the new buildable Cauldron that buffs allies on the field, there are spells galore that can really bolster your attack.
The Fearless Frog is another ally that you can utilise extensively. Hopping onto this friend will let you traverse the Overworld, avoiding a bunch of danger in the process. It negates fall damage dramatically but it isn’t invulnerable to a fall so keep that in mind before jumping off the top of a mountain.
The Clanger and The Air Chopper are the two adversaries that you’ll be coming up against in this update, with the former using cymbals to do some damage to you and your friends. The Air Chopper is less about physical attack and instead focuses on trying to push you back with its powerful propellers. It’ll pollute the Overworld too, so be sure to avoid those spore-ridden areas.
Other improvements this update brings includes the likes of a plethora of custom game settings, improvements to pathfinding, better combat balancing, and more.
This is Minecraft Legends’ second fully-fledged title update and it’s promising to see that changes of this ilk are still on the mind of Mojang and will likely continue moving forward.
