The pool of maps available in Modern Warfare 2 has long struggled to strike a chord with players loading into the action. Infinity Ward has created some of Call of Duty's most iconic battlefields over the last decade, but in its recent release, the maps arguably missed the mark.
Following the launch of Season 4 Reloaded, players have recently been getting to grips with the MX Guardian shotgun, as well as the latest buffs and nerfs affecting the game's ever-expanding arsenal of weaponry.
Among the long list of bug fixes in the update, the developer has revealed it has improved the least popular map in the game, in a bid to enhance gameplay.
Is the worst Modern Warfare 2 map fixed?
User MichaelIncarnate has headed to Reddit to shed light on a change found in the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes that could improve Santa Sena Border Crossing.
The patch notes read: “The vehicles in Santa Sena Border Crossing will no longer explode. They can still be damaged, but cannot kill players.”
While there are a few players that approve of the change, many community members believe the map is much worse following the change, with one saying: “Oh come on, that was one of the things I liked about the map!”

Instead of stopping all pf the map's stationary vehicles from exploding, one player has suggested an alternative change that would retain the fun of being blown sky high. They say: “(Infinity Ward) could have just bumped up the (health points) of the cars so it would take more than one explosive to explode (them). Shooting holes through a car's doors shouldn’t make it explode.”
Others have pointed out an issue the fix could inadvertently create, with one player suggesting: “Now people are gonna camp behind the cars.”
It’s unclear if Infinity Ward plans on implementing further changes to Border Crossing but for now, its cars are indestructible.
