Modern Warfare 3 players believe there aren't enough powerful killstreaks to use in multiplayer.
With the beta in full swing, Modern Warfare 3 contains a small selection of killstreaks that are capable of turning the tide of a match on any of the maps in your favour.
Although players can score a nuke to bring an early end to a match, the lack of powerful killstreaks on offer is a contributing factor that's affecting the flow of multiplayer and impacting the enjoyment of Sledgehammer Games' latest Call of Duty release.
In a bid to raise awareness of the issue, user Wxgwan took to Reddit stating the killstreaks in 2009's Modern Warfare 2 enhanced the gameplay even further.
The player says: "I feel like MW3 is lacking powerful streaks, and I'm hoping there's a few fun streaks in the full game." Others are in agreeance. Another adds: "I don't expect any interesting choices except streaks that Modern Warfare is known for."
On the other hand, there are some that are perfectly fine with the killstreaks lacking a bit of firepower. "Contrary to popular belief, being killed by a Harrier, Pave Low, AC-130 for the entire duration of a game was not too enjoyable," states one fan. Having been on the receiving end of that particular killstreak combination, it's definitely not a fun time.
For those hoping there are killstreaks that deliver more of an impact in the full version of Modern Warfare 3, it's good news. The multiplayer reveal trailer contains the likes of the VTOL Jet, EMP, and Pave Low helicopter all appear even if it's just for a few seconds. They may not be in the beta, but more will arrive along with an extensive gun list to suit all styles of play.
Killstreaks play a pivotal role in Call of Duty. Whether you want to provide squadmates with additional intel or fly above the map inside a helicopter equipped with a fully automatic machine gun, there's bound to be something for everyone when Modern Warfare 3 drops in November.
