The Modern Warfare 3 Cutthroat mode is one of several new additions making its debut in Sledgehammer Games' latest Call of Duty title.
The developers decided to test the game mode before the full version of Modern Warfare 3 launched. While it shares similarities to the 2v2 mode from previous releases, there are plenty of changes to get familiar with if you want to take home the victory ahead of Season 1.

What is the Modern Warfare 3 Cutthroat mode?
The Modern Warfare 3 Cutthroat mode is a brand-new addition to multiplayer, which pits three teams of three against each other. Players must eliminate the opposition or capture the overtime flag in order to win a round.
Cutthroat is a single-life mode, just like Search and Destroy. However, once you're downed, a nearby teammate can revive you and give you a second chance at victory.
The team that hits the score limit first is declared the winner.
Can you use Modern Warfare 3 loadouts in Cutthroat?
Yes! Unlike Gunfight which uses randomised loadouts, Cutthroat allows you to use your favourite loadouts over the course of a match.
This gives you and your squad mates the ability to build a composition to counter the two other teams. For example, one player can spawn with a sniper rifle, another with an SMG, and another with an assault rifle to cover all engagement scenarios you're likely to encounter.
