Modern Warfare 3 fans have called for the return of a popular weapon mastery camouflage.

The launch of Modern Warfare 3 is right around the corner and while most of the attention is on the extensive list of guns and weapons, several players are already starting to plan their grind towards a fresh batch of mastery camos.

Mastery camos take several hours to obtain and despite plenty of designs to earn by completing a wealth of challenges involving the entire weapon arsenal, some players are hoping Sledgehammer Games reintroduces one of the more unique designs that always proved a hit in previous Call of Duty titles.

Following the reveal of the new designs, user JCglitchmaster took to Reddit asking for diamond camouflage to return instead of the bland chrome and platinum designs.

Based on the comments, there are plenty of others who would love to see the long-awaited return of diamond camo. One player says: "I need that Infinite Warfare diamond back. The full gun looking like a real diamond was insane." Another adds: "I agree, Diamond from Black Ops 2 and Black Ops Cold War are way better than platinum."

However, some players believe diamond camo is far from the best-looking pattern to equip. One player believes: "Hell no, Platinum looks way better than any diamond camo." Another says: "Diamond is a horrible camo, everyone is so obsessed with it because the fan base has the taste of a 12-year-old boy."

It remains to be seen if diamond camouflage will return in Modern Warfare 3 as an unlock or as part of paid bundles bound to flood the in-game store once Pre-Season and Season 1 get underway. Considering there's already an extensive selection of mastery camos, the only way diamond returns is as part of a store bundle.

Call of Duty players often call for classic features to return. So far, there's already a demand for a classic prestige system and just like every year, the developer sticks to its guns.
