Modern Warfare 3 Fans Claim Devs Ruined Iconic Game Mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fans claim that the developers have ruined Gunfight, a mode that was once beloved by the community and is now seemingly frowned upon. While there is still time to make this game mode better, players are currently down on it and that won’t stop anytime soon.

On the game’s subreddit, user bakingbabies5 shared his grievances about Gunfight, saying that the mode was still fun in Modern Warfare 2019. The second game’s version launched with issues, but new maps and weapons did make it another fun venture. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been done with the third game, which only has four maps and bad ones at that.

Modern Warfare 3 fans agreed with the user, saying that this used to be the most fun mode in previous games and it's currently a bore. Like the user said, many players are sick of playing through the same maps and going through repetitive weapon loadouts. Needless to say, this mode is in need of an overhaul if they want fans to keep playing it.

For those unaware, Gunfight is a two-on-two round-based mode where players try to kill each other and get the most wins. While it sounds basic on paper, the cooperative nature of this mode does make for some tense moments and fun teamwork strategies. This is usually a pretty fun mode, but the third game really needs to step up and make it a lot better.

Unfortunately, the lack of new maps isn’t a new problem with Modern Warfare 3, as the game’s single-player campaign was heavily criticized for re-using multiplayer maps. It’s disappointing to see the game continue to disappoint fans with a lack of variety, despite having solid shooting mechanics.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The shooter comes with Warzone, so fans who don’t enjoy MW3 can have a good time with this battle royale.
