Mortal Kombat is a series all about doing horrible things to your opponent's body, but that doesn't always have to be true. Beyond the brutalities and fatalities, there sometimes exists a third, friendlier option. In this guide, we'll answer an important question: does Mortal Kombat 1 have friendship finishers?
The game's fatalities are more brutal than ever, and part of the game's appeal has always been its willingness to show the blood and guts flying with each successful hit. If you're introducing a friend to the series, however, the friendship finishers are a great way to end a fight without bringing up anyone's dinner. They're a great way to get more insight into a character's personality, too.

Does Mortal Kombat 1 have friendships?
No, Mortal Kombat 1 does not feature friendship fatalities.
It's a shame to see a feature removed, but to be expected. The guest fighters on their way to Mortal Kombat 1 (most notably Omni Man and Homelander) aren't the type to make friends, even if the other guest star Peacemaker might be.
The game does feature brutalities and, of course, fatalities for fans looking to feed their blood lust, however. Some were disappointed that stage fatalities and the mercy feature from Mortal Kombat 11 are missing from the game, so our fingers are crossed for them to be included in a future update.
Mortal Kombat 1's developers have previously released a purchasable Halloween fatality that many felt was not worth the price. We can only hope the backlash it generated means friendships are either free or much cheaper if they reach the game at all.
