Oppo has recently unveiled a new challenger to the likes of Samsung and Apple, with the Find X5 Pro, which could be one of the most exciting phones to release to date.
We've rounded up everything you need to know about the phone right here, plus why it may be a worthy consideration for your next upgrade.
Here's everything we know so far about the Oppo Find X5.
When is the Oppo Find X5 Pro Release Date?
While the Oppo Find X5 is now available to pre-order, and releasing on March 14th, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is still yet to receive a release date.
We don't think it will be far behind the Oppo Find X5, but it could well be released closer to the iPhone 14, which will be later this year. We won't know for sure until we hear more, but we're hoping that it will be as short a wait as possible.
The good news is that we do have some information around the specs, design, camera, and battery that will make it a little easier to hold on for.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Specs
The Oppo Find X5 Pro packs a Snapdragon 8.1, their latest chipset, with the Snapdragon 8.2 heading just around the corner.
It has 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Interestingly phone storage cards aren't supported though.
From our side, this is a powerful combination here, not unlike some of the best gaming phones we've come across...
Oppo Find X5 Pro Display
The Oppo Find X5 Pro display has some punchy claims. It's a 6.70" AMOLED screen with 92.70% coverage. That may not be as much as some of the other smartphones on the market, but it's more than enough in our eyes.
Interestingly, the resolution is actually QHD, which should look absolutely brilliant on a screen this size.
When it comes to refresh rate, you're getting 120hz dynamic, with a 240hz touch sampling rate.
The 120hz refresh rate is not unlike some of the best gaming phones, but we usually see 720hz touch sampling rates alongside it. Either way, it should be more than enough to handle most games in a responsive way.
In terms of colour, it has two modes: gentle and vivid. Vivid provides 97% NTSC/ 100% DCI-P3, while gentle provides 71% NTSC/100% sRGB.
It also has impressive colour depth with 10-bit colour, equating to a massive 1.07 billion colours.
For anyone editing photos, or just looking for a vibrant viewing experience with everyday use, the Oppo Find X5 Pro should deliver the goods.

And, as is the case with seemingly everything nowadays, we can expect anywhere between 500 - 1300 nit brightness from the phone.
Considering many of the best gaming monitors come in at around 400 nit brightness, this bodes well for anyone using the smartphone in well-lit environments.
To keep things safe, you've also got Gorilla Glass Victus, the latest and greatest in the line of protective solutions.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Camera
There's a lot going on when it comes to the camera, but the highlights are that the main camera is 50MP, 50MP Ultra-wide angle camera, 13MP telephoto camera, and 32MP front camera.
There is the usual slew of camera modes, such as slow-motion, portrait, night-mode, and more.
On the video front, it looks a bit more exciting, especially the 4K at 60 fps filming via the rear camera.
Slow-motion goes up to 480 fps in 720p too, which we think will make this camera a great shout for any content creators out there.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Battery
The battery is said to be equivalent to a total capacity of 5000 mAh, which is pretty much the 'going rate' for smartphones right now.
Interestingly, this is actually more than the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 7, which comes in at 4500 mAh.
However, what's really impressive here is the 80W fast charge feature. We don't know how long it will take to charge until we get our hands on it, but it should be lightning fast.
Oppo Find X5 Pro Design
The Oppo Find X5 Pro comes in both Ceramic White and Glaze Black, and features a distinctively elegant 75° slope that makes it look like some kind of ceramic sculpture.
It's simply a stunning looking phone, and it even features IP68 water and dust resistance for added confidence in various weather conditions.
It's sized to 163.7mm x 73.99mm x 8.5mm, and weighs in at just 218g.
Should I Wait For Oppo Find X5 Pro?
There's no denying it...the Oppo Find X5 Pro looks seriously impressive. Its Hasselblad camera could be one of the main selling points here, especially with 4K Ultra Night Video powered by MariSilicon X.
The 80W fast charging is a big draw also, as is the latest Snapdragon processor.
But since we don't the release date just yet, it's hard to say if you should hold out or not.
The iPhone 14 is on the way. as in the impressive iPhone SE 3, and that's not to mention the recently released Samsung S22 Ultra, which has the additions of a stylus and impressive daytime viewing modes.
We'll need to know more about the price too, but we're expecting this to come in at well over $1000.
We'd say at this stage, it's worth waiting around until we hear more, as we think the Oppo Find X5 Pro could be a serious contender for one of the best phones of the year.
