Should I wait for iPhone SE 3? If you're an Apple fan but don't want to stretch to the premium prices of the upcoming iPhone 14, or even other brands like the Samsung S22, you've likely asked yourself this question.
The SE range is Apple's affordable line of iPhones and thanks to its overwhelming popularity, the iPhone SE 3 is one of the most highly anticipated phones of the year...well, asides from the iPhone 14 that is.
But with all the options available right now in the mid-range price bracket, should you wait?

How Long Will The Wait For iPhone SE 3 Be?
So, how long exactly will you be waiting for the latest iPhone SE? Well, Apple recently announced the arrival of the latest SE phone with pre-orders starting 11 March.
Following from pre-orders, the phone will be available from 18 March onwards, meaning you won't have to wait very long at all.
But what exactly are we waiting for when it comes to performance...
iPhone SE 3 Specs
Apple's announcement of the upcoming phone revealed a fair amount of details about the specs and it seems that previous reports and rumours were largely accurate.
The new iPhone SE will feature 5G and the latest Apple A15 Bionic chip which can be found in the most recent iPhone 13 and 13 Pro model.

This should offer some serious power and lightning-fast connectivity, which, alongside the more affordable price tag that comes with the SE line, should give you some excellent bang for your buck.
The latest version of the SE looks like it is keeping the classic design and features the familiar home button and Touch ID design.
Apple also boasts an all-new camera system for the upcoming SE 3 including a 12MP wide lens that offers features such as portrait mode.
But how many bucks are we talking about here?
iPhone SE 3 Price
The upcoming iPhone SE will be available with either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage and include a starting price of around $429.
While this is still a significant chunk of change, it is 'affordable' in relation to the iPhone 13, especially with the inclusion of the A15 chip and 5G capabilities.
Is The iPhone SE (2020) Worth It?
The current 2nd Generation iPhone SE (2020) is still an excellent phone and could be worth considering if you don't want to wait for the launch of the SE 3 model.
Price
The iPhone SE (2020) will set you back £389 / $399 for the 64GB model and £439 / $449 for the 128GB version.
While this may seem like a fair chunk of change, In comparison to the latest iPhone 13's £779 / $829 starting price, the SE is relatively affordable.
But, are you getting a lot of bang for your buck?
Specs
The Apple iPhone SE (2020) is equipped with the A13 Bionic chip which also appears in the iPhone 11/11 Pro and 9th Generation iPad and should provide a solid amount of power.
You're also getting a 4.7" HD retina display, durable glass and aluminium build and a water-resistant design.

The iPhone SE (2020) model can even film in up to 4K and the camera also features a Portrait Mode that artificially blurs the background and focuses on the subject of your photo.
Touch ID security also lets you securely unlock your phone and enables you to easily make payments using Apple Pay.
Should I Wait For The iPhone SE 3?
Whether or not you should wait for the iPhone SE 3 ultimately comes down to your personal preferences, however, we think it could be worth holding out for.
The new A15 chip should be a game-changer and makes the phone super appealing for those who want iPhone 13 speed, but don't mind making a few other small concessions to get it.
