As is the case with just about any MMORPG out there, glamour is the true end-game, and our complete list of Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds outfits is here to show you what you can look forward to in this mobile take on the beloved RPG franchise.
Of the most annoying things about Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds at launch is its limited approach to character creation. Making matters worse, the four outfits you can preview on the select screen aren't the only ones available to each class, and you can't even see their bottom halves. Down below, though, you'll find every full outfit you can craft, find, buy, and obtain in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds so you can pick the best first class based on their outfits alone.
To facilitate your new Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds adventure, we've already pieced together a bunch of guides; like the Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds tier list the best Familiars, and the Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds codes list for a load of launch day freebies.
Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Outfits, Skins, and Costumes
In Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, outfits, skins, and costumes are all terms for the same thing - equipable clothing you can use to customize your avatar. They follow similar sets regardless of class, but from showcasing your character's outside profession or tapping into fairytales and fantasy, you'll notice some unique clothing options across each.
Engineer Outfits
The adorable Engineer features a simple school uniform as her Reality Outfit, which very closely resembles that of Mitsuha Miyamizu, the main female protagonist from the worldwide hit anime movie Your Name.
Rogue Outfits
The boyish Rogue has a mix of everyday, mischeivous outdoor wear and a peculiar and poofy little anime-esque cosplay to choose from. If you want to embody the male leads of the first Ni No Kuni games, he's a great choice with plenty of unique styles.
Destroyer Outfits
The herculean Destroyer flexes his muscles in just about any outfit here, but it's his dad-like Reality Outfit that really stands out. Even with the pure-white Magician set there, it's hard to ignoring the apron.
Swordsman Outfits
First off, we'd like to apologize for making the Swordsman look the way he does. If you can get past the questionable moustache and hair-do, you'll find some very smart picks. The salaryman look is strong.
Witch Outfits
We don't know what kind of Witch focuses on impaling foes with a floating spear, her outfits don't really reflect the storybook idea of one, either. Instead, you'll find a bunch of coordinated looks; from dresses and coats, to suitable sets of armour.
When Do I Unlock Outfits in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds?
Though you get to preview a few outfits when making your character, you don't actually unlock the ability to look at them again until you're a few bit through the tutorial around the Kingdom of Evermore, You'll find them under the Character tab of the main menu, where a Costumes button will pop out. You can preview them here, but the unlock methods are all quite different.
How Do I Get Outfits in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds?
Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds outfits are unlocked in a few different ways. Some are crafted, some (like the Explorer set) are given away through promotional codes and log-in bonuses, and others are obtained through quests, achievements, drops, and so on. Gacha is another method.
Do Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Outfits Have Stats?
Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds outfits do affect your character's strength, but in a very indirect way. Just unlocking them and adding them to your collection boosts your stats. Wearing a particular set, however, won't.
Will More Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Outfits Be Added?
It's likely, but we can't say for sure just yet. Netmarble's other games, like Marvel Future Revolution, released with a similar number of outfits, but they didn't really add many more after the fact, instead opting for new characters with similar sets instead. Time will tell, though.
And that's about all there is to say on the various Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds outfits right now. The game is huge, though, so expect more information as we uncover it.
