How to cure Depressed in Palworld
If you want to avoid the Depressed status, we suggest building large comfy beds for Pals and keeping their SAN high by building a few Hot Springs as well. Work and movement speed are both significantly reduced for Pals with the Depressed status effect. Now let's see how to cure it.
Build Medieval Medicine Workbench
You unlock the Medieval Medicine Workbench from the Technology menu when you hit Level 12. It's necessary because it's the only production facility that allows you to craft different medical supplies.
Crafting it requires the following materials:
- Wood x30
- Nails x5
- Paldium Fragments x10
Out of these, you might have some trouble sourcing the nails but they're easily craftable using Ingots.
Craft High-Grade Medical Supplies
With the Medieval Medicine Workbench ready, it's now time to produce High-Grade Medical Supplies, which can then be used to cure the Depressed status effect.
Craft the High-Grade Medical Supplies using the following ingredients:
- Ingot x5
- Horn x5
- Bones x2
You can find Bones by hunting down Rushoar in the starting areas. Crafting can take a while, so we suggest leaving it to a Pal with the Medical Production job suitability.
Feed High-Grade Medical Supplies to Pal
Now that you have your High-Grade Medical Supplies ready you need to walk up to the affected Pal and either press 4 on the keyboard or RS on the controller to open up the interaction menu.
From here, choose the Feed option and feed the High-Grade Medical Supplies to cure the Depressed status effect for good. Rinse and repeat this method for any Pal that becomes Depressed.
Alternative Method
You can find High-Grade Medical Supplies by purchasing them from Traveling Merchants at the cost of 3,000 apiece. This method is a lot more expensive than the one we've listed above, but if you're short on time and urgently need, medicine it's good to know.
