Stamina is annoying, and Palworld's Palpagos is a giant island with tons of biomes and verticality. You're going to need methods to increase your manoeuvrability or you'll be stuck staring at the stamina meter all the time. One method of increasing your mobility options when exploring the world is by using the Grappling Gun.
Today, we're going to look at how you can unlock the Grappling Gun and how to go about crafting it. The Grappling Gun crafting stations can be confusing to find, so we'll go over everything you need for both the basic Grappling Gun and the Mega Grappling Gun.
If you're looking for other methods to improve your movement capabilities, we suggest learning how the gliders work and how you can ride your Pals.
How to unlock and craft Grappling Gun
First off, we have the regular Grappling Gun. Unlocking this is honestly more impactful as it unlocks the basic ability to have a Grappling Gun. To craft the Grappling Gun, you first need to unlock it from the Technology Menu when you first reach level 12, but it will cost Ancient Technology Points instead of regular ones.
Once you unlock it, you need to gather all the resources required. The most difficult one to manage here is the Iron Ingot, but you should be proficient enough with refining ore at this point. The trouble comes when you go to craft it, as it's unavailable at the High-Quality Workbench. You can only craft the Grappling Gun at the Primitive Workbench. A strange decision, but it's what works.
How to unlock and craft Mega Grappling Gun
The Mega Grappling Gun is the same as the Grappling Gun but has a lot more range and a higher rarity. This time around, you need to be level 17 to unlock it with Ancient Technology Points.
Like the Grappling Gun, you can't craft the Mega Grappling Gun at the High-Quality Workbench either. You need to go over to the Weapon Workbench to craft the Mega Grappling Gun. The resource requirements are similar to the previous ones with an additional requirement for Ancient Civilization Parts. At this point in the game, you can defeat bosses to stock up on those.
We hope this guide helped you with the weird High-Quality Workbench issue faced by the Grappling Gun and the Mega Grappling Gun. While you're here also check our guides on how to cook and how you can remove the Wanted status.
