The realism in Palworld does not merely extend to the mindless killing, slaughter, and servitude of Pals. Once your Pals are working for you, you need to take care of them else they will not be able to do any work for you. While working your Pals run the risk of developing negative status effects. One such annoying Pal status effect is Ulcer.

If your Pal develops Ulcer it will have its work speed slowed significantly, Furthermore, the Sanity loss will also start increasing and become hard to control. If left untreated it can lead to a much greater injury or condition. So today we'll learn how to cure Ulcers in Palworld before they get out of control.

While you're here also learn how to build Hot Springs and how to build a base for you and your Pals.

How to treat an Ulcer in Palworld

Build Medieval Medicine Workbench

You unlock the Medieval Medicine Workbench from the Technology menu when you hit Level 12. It's necessary because it's the only production facility that allows you to craft different medical supplies.

Crafting it requires the following materials:

  • Wood x30
  • Nails x5
  • Paladium Fragments x10

Out of these, you might have some trouble sourcing the nails but they're easily craftable using Ingots.

Craft Medical Supplies

Once you've finished building your Medieval Medicine Workbench it's time to produce the cure for Ulcers, Medical Supplies.

Craft the item called medical supplies using the following ingredients:

  • Ingot x3
  • Horn x3
  • Bone x1

You can find Bones by hunting down Rushoar in the starting areas. Crafting can take a while, so we suggest leaving it to a Pal with the Medical Production job suitability.

Feed Medical Supplies to Pal

Now that you have your Medical Supplies ready you need to walk up to the affected Pal and either press 4 on the keyboard or RS on the controller to open up the interaction menu. From here, choose the Feed option and feed the Medical Supplies to cure the Ulcer status effect for good. Rinse and repeat this method for any Pal that develops an Ulcer.

Alternative Method

While the above-listed method is one that we will recommend due to its reliability, it can be time-consuming and sometimes you will need your Pal back at 100% performance a lot sooner. In these situations, you can find Medical Supplies by defeating human enemies in the overworld or by purchasing them from the Traveling Merchants at the cost of 800 apiece.
