Final Fantasy 7 Remake had been rumoured for almost two decades, but when it eventually came out, it left fans clamouring for much more. Here's what we know about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 release date so far.
As you might expect, we don't fully know when it could be as Final Fantasy games tend to take a while, but we can have a pretty good guess thanks to some details that were released last week.
If you're looking for more information on Final Fantasy, here's what we know about Final Fantasy 16 so far and the final trailer for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Release Date
As of right now, we don't have an official release date. We do, however, know that Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 2 is set to come out in Winter 2023. This places us on a rough timeline for the next launch.
We know that Tetsuya Nomura has started work on it so it seems likely we could see it by Winter 2025. It could be delayed somewhat, depending on the scope of the game, but this is our best guess for now. If anything changes, we'll update you right here.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Is a Trilogy
Unlike what many thought from the build up to the first game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be a trilogy. The second part will be called Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It seems likely that the third game will be a word starting with "Re."
Given the theme of the game, "Rebuild" seems like a likely name.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Platforms
In the recent trailer, it was revealed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 would be coming to PS5. Given that the first part eventually came to PC, it seems likely that the third part is a timed exclusive, with an eventual launch on PC.
We have no word on Xbox or Nintendo Switch right now. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon. If you're looking to play something else Final Fantasy, check out our review of the Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster.
