One of the best parts of Path of Exile 2 is the freedom to create and customize your characters in any way you like.

The range of possibilities is huge, so it makes sense that the character slots question comes up.

This article breaks down how to get more character slots.

How To Get More Character Slots

The game gives you 24 character slots to play around with different builds.

You can customize your character however you like in Path of Exile 2, with so many skill trees and class combos to play with.

This system lets you make up to 24 characters, each with their own class and skills.

This gives you a lot to work with in terms of experimenting.

However, you might need extra slots to explore everything when the new twelve classes drop.

Even though 24 slots may seem like enough at first, there are times when you might run out of room.

You can free up slots by removing older characters if you encounter this situation.

Go to the character selection, hover over the character you want to delete, and select "Delete" at the bottom.

Please keep in mind that this action is irreversible—once a character is deleted, it cannot be restored.

Don’t forget to transfer your gear to the stash before deleting a character, as long as they’re in the same league.

This makes sure you don’t lose any of your hard-earned items when clearing space for new builds.

If 24 slots aren’t enough, the game allows you to expand your roster by purchasing additional character slots.

You can unlock these slots by using the microtransaction shop in the game.

Here’s how you can purchase extra slots:

  • Open the Character Menu
  • Navigate to the Cosmetics Tab
  • Purchase Extra Slots

You can unlock extra character slots for 30 Points per slot, which can be purchased with real money through the in-game shop.

If you picked up the early access version, you were given 300 Points as a bonus and can use them to unlock these extra slots.

While you can buy more character slots, remember that Path of Exile 2 caps you at 24 active slots per account.

This means that even if you purchase extra slots, you won’t be able to exceed the limit of 24 slots at any given time.

Even so, buying more slots remains a handy option for trying out new builds without constantly clearing out the old ones.
