Perks provide a range of benefits for players during a Warzone match. Ranging from improved explosive resistance to an unlimited supply of equipment, there are limitless combinations to utilise on Caldera and Rebirth Island.
Ahead of Season 3's launch, Activision shared the complete roadmap detailing various changes and new additions coming to the battle royale. While it's unconfirmed, the roadmap teases gameplay changes involving Perks.
Judging by the image used, Perks are likely to appear as part of the ever-changing pool of ground loot joining a predetermined set of weaponry, equipment, and more.
Warzone Perks Becoming Ground Loot
Players having the ability to loot individual Perks during a match is nothing out of the ordinary for a Call of Duty battle royale title. Treyarch's Blackout included Perks as ground loot as players went around the map acquiring various pieces of equipment to build a strong loadout.
The addition of Perks as a new form of loot led to many sharing their thoughts on the change. Twitter user 'nHawk407' says Perks should be rewards for completing contracts.
Adding Perks as rewards is a smart idea, especially when players can earn them by purchasing a Loadout Drop and selecting their loadout of choice.
With Specialist Tokens already available to grant players access to every single Perk in the game, there's a high chance of the Perk meta shifting throughout Season 3.
What Perks Are Loot in Warzone?
Within the Season 3 patch notes, Raven Software outlines a handful of Perks that players can loot over the course of a match. Here is a full list of available Perks:
- Battle Hardened
- Engineer
- High Alert
- Restock
- Tempered
- Quick Fix
- Scavenger
- Pointman (Plunder Exclusive)
It's worth noting that only one of each Perk can be equipped at any one time and you can use them alongside a loadout. If you die, the looted Perks are unequipped but can't be looted by other players.
