Godfall’s PlayStation Plus Version Doesn’t Have the Story Campaign

It's been a year since Godfall was released, and Sony's confirmed that it'll feature in this month's PS Plus line-up. However, rather than the full game, this appears to be a "lite" version that takes you straight into Godfall's endgame content.

Calling this Godfall: Challenger Edition, that'll go live on December 7th until January 3rd for subscribers, letting you experience "the game's trio of endgame modes" on PS4 and PS5. That's joined by two PS4 games, Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super-Villains.

Godfall's PlayStation Plus Version Will Only Contain Endgame Content

A part of the new PlayStation blog post about Godfall: Challenger Edition reads as:

Godfall: Challenger Edition allows new players to experience the game’s trio of endgame modes, minus the story content of the base game and Fire & Darkness expansions, and grants existing players new exciting features and rewards to enjoy.

As seen in the replies, that's not gone down well at all, with some comparing this to "a glorified demo." Many have taken issue with the presented upgrade path too, which requires players to purchase a deluxe edition to obtain the full content.

There's no details about its pricing just yet, but we'll likely find out next week. Godfall is available for PS4, PS5, and PC. Make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as it happens.
