DOTA 2 is arguably the most difficult multiplayer game to not only master but also to simply learn. Apart from the countless heroes and infinite combinations, the game features some extremely tricky mechanics that need a lot of time to learn.
Having said that, climbing the leaderboards of ranked DOTA 2 games is one of the most difficult challenges faced by most gamers. Be it a Guardian-ranked new player or a seasoned veteran from the Divine bracket, grinding through pubs for that all-elusive Immortal medal is every DOTA player's primary goal.
With that in mind, let's dive in and check out the rank segregations in DOTA 2.
Rank System in DOTA 2
DOTA features a total of eight different rank medals, with Immortal being the pinnacle. However, apart from the Immortal medal, each other level features five additional tiers that players need to overcome before being promoted to the next rank.
The rank medal featured on a player's account is a pictorial description of the MMR (Match-Making Rank) of their accounts. Here's the entire list of Medal segregation in DOTA 2 based on the player's MMR.
