The spooky season may be over, but the fourth season of MultiVersus still has some dark and gothic characters to add to the roster—the most recent announcement gives players a look at Teen Titans fan-favorite Raven.

Raven Joins MultiVersus

Raven has been around DC Comics for a while, but her popularity grew when the animated Teen Titans series was released in the mid-2000s. Though this one isn’t a direct copy of that Raven, she has the voice, and some parts of her design from the series have been tweaked to give her a more original look.

“Spells, secrets, and a few family issues, Raven's not here to play nice.”

In Teen Titans, Raven is the magic user of the group, and her power comes from being the daughter of DC villain Trigon. In the show, she has the power of flight and telekinesis, and it looks like they will also be how she plays in the game.

The developers have even added a negative effect whenever something is coated in Raven’s black powers. The team has also added Raven’s familiar Lenore to be able to assist in battle (she originally didn’t have that in the series).

As for looks, the game has provided some alternate appearances for Raven, dubbed White Raven and Rule Breaker Raven (which looks to be a skin inspired by the live-action Titans version of Raven). There is even a skin for Raven’s dad, Trigon, which some say is supposed to be an alternate look for Superman. However, seeing his size in the gameplay, it’s possible it could be a skin for the Iron Giant.

The Tara is Strong in This Game

With Raven being included in the game, she is the third character to be voiced by Tara Strong in MultiVersus. The game had launched with Strong providing the voice of the DC character Harley Quinn, then DLC was soon added to have the Powerpuff Girls added—Strong provides the voice of Bubbles; that’s why Raven is interacting with Harley and Bubbles in the trailer.

All that’s missing is Ben 10 —still a WB property. If anything, they would need multiple voices for Ben, seeing that Strong only voiced the little kid version, and he would be expected to transform into various aliens.

Who Else is Coming in the Future?

With MultiVersus having access to an array of WB-owned IPs, the game has an endless pool of characters to choose from. Alongside the Raven announcement was Marceline, the Vampire Queen from the Adventure Time series. None of her gameplay has been revealed yet, but she’s also expected to release in Season 4.

With Raven now in the mix, there’s a question if any other Teen Titans would be showing up. Batman is already in the game, yet Robin isn’t a playable character yet. Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire are also sure to have some fans excited.

Season 4 of MultiVersus launches on Nov. 12. The game is now playable for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4|5.
