Red Dead Redemption remains one of Rockstar Games' most popular series. Set in the Wild West, both titles follow the story of two characters looking to make their way in the world.

Although some players held a funeral for Red Dead Redemption 2's online mode despite the game's single-player success, players are still releasing mods enabling Arthur Morgan to hunt for treasure using Red Dead Online's metal detector.

While many wait for more information surrounding a potential Red Dead Redemption remaster, the latest leak has seemingly uncovered information surrounding Red Dead Redemption 2 launching on Nintendo Switch. What's even more unusual is that the leak has come from the Brazilian rating board.

Brazilian rating board leaks Red Dead Redemption 2 on Switch

Thanks to a ratings classification from Brazil's Ministry of Justice and Public Security, eagle-eyed fans noticed Nintendo's console appeared next to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation during the platform listings.

As expected, Red Dead fans were quick to comment on how a Switch would have the ability to run such a graphically intense game. One player says: "This is definitely a cloud version." Another adds: "The Switch would literally ignite into flames if you tried to run RDR on it."

Others think that the game won't utilise the cloud to run smoothly on Switch. One player believes: "I guess it's gonna be a downgraded Xbox One port then."

Alongside the platform listing, the document from the Brazilian government confirms the age rating of Red Dead Redemption 2 as "18+ due to criminal acts, legal drugs, and violence."

As with all leaks, it's important to take them with a pinch of salt until Rockstar Games is prepared to share more information on the rumoured Switch version of Red Dead Redemption 2. We'll have to wait and see how it potentially compares to the first Red Dead Redemption title, which was released on Switch on August 17, 2023, to generally good reception.
