One of the sturdiest Warframes in the game, Rhino is part of the roster since the very beginning. This powerhouse of a Warframe has the potential to be virtually indestructible while also hitting hard and buffing teammates, which makes him incredibly versatile.
His Prime version also displays better higher armour and sprint speed, as well as an additional polarity. However, right now Rhino Prime is unobtainable until the Vault brings him back, so you may need to roam around the Trade Chat in case you want him.
How to Obtain and Craft Rhino?

Keep in mind, since this is a boss battle it can take a few attempts to gather all the blueprints, but this Warframe it’s more than worth the waiting, so be patient and good luck!

Rhino - Best Arsenal Loadout
Since Rhino is a slow Warframe that hits really hard, we want to compensate for that using fast weapons such as Orthos and Akstilletto as Melee and Secondary Weapons. While Tigris isn’t a fast weapon per se, it certainly hits really hard, accompanying Rhino’s bulky nature. If you can afford the Prime version of any of these, the better.

Rhino Best Builds
Rhino - Iron Skin Build
The idea of this build is simple to understand, and once you get accustomed to it, you will have tons of fun shooting people like the immortal machine you are. Let’s break it down part by part:
First, let’s begin with the basics, you want to focus on two values: Armor, and Strength. Intensify, Power Drift, Steel Fiber, Stand United, Blind Rage, Armor Agility, and Transient Fortitude, all those modes will dramatically buff those values, with some sacrifices in Duration, which you don’t really need, and Efficiency, which you will compensate using either Flow or Streamline. You may need to use a Forma in the Aura slot to change the polarity and make Stand United work, but generally, the loadout will be easy to fill.
Now, let’s get to the juicy part, which involves Ironclad Charge and Iron Shrapnel. The first will give you a bonus in armor for each enemy you hit with the Charge Ability, which will also contribute to the Armor Multiplier of Iron Skin. This is the foundation of this build since the idea is to hit as many enemies as possible so the Iron Skin benefits as much as possible from that temporal bonus.
Iron Shrapnel serves the purpose of turning off your Iron Skin (which you can’t do without it) in case it’s near to deplete, and it applies nice radial damage. Once you successfully applied the Iron Skin with that Armor bonus still active, you will see crazy, crazy numbers in your armor values, which is what you want. Now you can freely wreak havoc and bullets will barely touch you!
Mod | Effect |
---|---|
Aura Mod - Stand United | +25.5% Armor |
Exilus Mod - Power Drift | +15% Ability Strength +30% Chance to Resist Knockdown |
Loadout Mod #1 - Armored Agility | +15% Sprint Speed +45% Armor |
Loadout Mod #2 - Intensify | +55% Ability Strength |
Loadout Mod #3 - Ironclad Charge | Rhino Charge Augment: Each enemy hit increases Rhino's Armor Rating by 50% for 10s. |
Loadout Mod #4 - Transient Fortitude | +55% Ability Strength -27.5% Ability Duration |
Loadout Mod #5 - Adaptation | When Damaged: +10% Resistance to that Damage Type for 20s. Stacks up to 90%. |
Loadout Mod #6 - Steel Fiber | +110% Armor |
Loadout Mod #7 - Flow | +150% Energy Max |
Loadout Mod #8 - Iron Shrapnel | Iron Skin Augment: Recasting Iron Skin will cause it to detonate, dealing 100% of its remaining Health as Puncture Damage, and knocking down enemies. |
Rhino - Buff Roar Build
This build centers around a more offensive approach, where you will need to buff as much Strength and Duration as you can, to be able to use Roar with high buffing numbers, while still retaining enough sustain to survive in high levels. Easy to assemble and even easier to comprehend, you just need to consume an energy orb (which will grant a Power Strength bonus thanks to Energy Conversion), right after that cast Roar, and let your teammates make their magic with massive damage bonuses.
Mod | Effect |
---|---|
Aura Mod - Growing Power | Applying Status Effects with weapons increase Ability Strength by 25% for 6s. |

Loadout Mod #5 - Augur Message | +24% Ability Duration. Set Bonus: 40% Energy spent on abilities is converted to shields. |
Loadout Mod #6 - Transient Fortitude | +55% Ability Strength -27.5% Ability Duration |
