All Pokemon Legends: Arceus starters: Oshawott, Rowlet, and Cyndaquil.

All Pokemon Legends: Arceus starters: Oshawott, Rowlet, and Cyndaquil.

Rowlet is one of three starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the adorable bird is a grass/flying-type that later evolves into Decidueye, an illusive ghost/flying-type. This somewhat gives them an edge over other starters, as it isn't often that a starter Pokémon will already be a dual-type.

Choosing your starting Pokémon is pretty daunting, considering Oshawott and Cyndaquil have their perks too. However, the starters you missed out on can all be caught eventually, including Rowlet. As you complete your Pokédex, rest up at Base Camps, and quell Alpha Pokémon, you'll be able to get your hands on those starter Pokémon sooner or later.

How, exactly? And where can you find them when you've finished roaming Hisui? In this guide, we explain how to find and catch Rowlet in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

How to Get Rowlet in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

I think we can safely assume that if you're reading this, you've probably already chosen your starter and it likely wasn't Rowlet. Luckily, Rowlet can be found and caught post-game, so you can have all three starter 'mons stored away!

Once you have completed the main story arc for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it soon becomes apparent that the remaining two starter Pokémon that you didn't pick still reside in Professor Laventon's office. Kindly, he will gift you the two remaining Pokémon after you've carried out your duties and been a hero to Hisui. These two 'mons will be Level 5.

What if you want multiple Rowlets though? Well, also after completing the main story arc, Rowlet can be found in Space-Time Distortions. Even then, this spawn can be particularly rare, and Rowlet will only appear in Distortions in the Coronet Highlands.

Rowlet won't appear in every Space-Time Distortion in the Coronet Highlands, but when they do, many of them will spawn. This will make completing the Pokédex entry for Rowlet super easy, and if you're lucky, you may even run into its evolutions: Dartrix and Decidueye. If you're even luckier, you might encounter an Alpha!
