Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin throws you into a dark universe. The kingdom of Cornelia has been invaded by darkness. Jack and his allies must embark on a dangerous quest to bring back the light of the crystals before it's too late. Many believe that they are the four warriors of light that the prophecy predicted, but are they something more?
As you work your way through each mission, you'll find that there are a lot of items to collect, and enemies to fight your way through. It can take a long time to find everything in a single mission area or to simply battle your way through enemies to complete it. Either way, you'll naturally want to ensure that your hard work is safe. Also, saving your game can mark where you respawn if you die.
In this guide, we're going to show you all of the options you have for saving your progress.
Saving Guide
There are two ways for you to save your progress in the game. We've detailed both ways below, though we recommend using a mixture of both methods to ensure your progress is safe.
Autosave
There is an autosave system that runs throughout the game. It typically triggers after one of the following:
- When you enter a new area in the world.
- When you enter a new area in a mission.
- After you progress past certain checkpoints on a mission (such as clearing a wave of enemies within a room).
- You can trigger the autosave by interacting with a Cube.
- It can trigger after you finish a cinematic.
- When you finish a mission quest.
The autosave system is a good way of saving your progress, but it's worth using it alongside the manual save option too.
Manual Save
You can manually save your game at certain points in the world and on a mission. This is a great way of ensuring that your progress for each section of a mission (or in the story) has been saved.
To manually save your game while you are on a mission, you need to find a Cube. Once you have found one, head up to it and follow the control prompt to interact with it. When the "Main Menu" appears, select the "Save" option near the bottom. This will manually save your game to the active save file, just make sure you don't turn the game off while the saving logo is still pulsing.
