Hogwarts Legacy could arrive this year and according to new sources, September is a likely aim. That's despite previous speculations earlier that Warner Bros. upcoming Harry Potter spinoff will release in 2023 instead.

As per Gamepur, a (now-deleted) tweet from known leaker AccountNGT mentioned that fans can "expect a September release” for Hogwarts Legacy. According to this leaker, a rumoured trailer will showcase some scenes “based on skills/abilities” and is likely to be released in “February/March” during a PlayStation State of Play event.

That differs from previous reports by the Sacred Symbols, whose host recently spoke about the game. According to that report, Colin Moriarty heard "behind the scenes that game is not coming out this year, and that it’s in some sort of trouble.”

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the universe of Harry Potter during the 1800s, with its official description reading as:

“Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Now you can take control of the action and be at the centre of your own adventure in the wizarding world. Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover fantastic beasts, customise your character and craft potions.”
