Apple is set to impress this year with a slew of new tech, including the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14, and MacBook Air 2022.

The Apple iPad Air Pro (2021) is one of the best tablets to date and the next-generation 2022 upgrade is likely to be even better, but, is it worth waiting for?

How Long Will The Wait For iPad Pro 2022 Be?

So, how long will the wait for the latest iPad Pro be? It looks like it could arrive sooner than you might expect.

If we look at the release date patterns, we're hoping that the new iPad Pro will release in Spring this year.

Previously, the 2016 and 2020 models were released in March, and the most recent iPad Pro 2021 was launched in April.

We won't know for sure until we hear something more official from Apple themselves, so stay tuned as we'll update this section when we know more.

Alongside the specs provided, the iPad Pro offers some fantastic features that we think make it a worthy investment.

Much like some of the best iPads, the Pro model can utilise the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard which means it could even be a great tool for work.

You're also getting a Thunderbolt port that allows you to transfer power, data and video through one single cable.

Should I Wait For iPad 2022?

Ultimately, the decision to wait or not comes down to your individual preferences, but if you want our two cents, we'd say it could be worth sticking around for.

The 2022 iPad Pro will likely include a more powerful chipset, a better camera and new features such as wireless charging.

We're also expecting to see some improvements to the design with more colour options and a glass back.

Plus, if you're interested in the 11-inch version, the rumoured Mini LED backlighting upgrade for the 2022 model could be worth holding out for.

Of course, if you're looking to upgrade immediately the 2021 iPad Pro is still an excellent option.

It is also worth noting that many of the best tablets are also viable options for those looking to upgrade with options such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ offering similar specifications.

However, if you're not in a rush to upgrade, it could be worth waiting for the 2022 model to arrive and see what it has in store for you.
