Gamers who enjoy Skyrim but feel that it needs more loot are going to love this new mod that makes it more like Diablo or Borderlands. The game’s normal loot drops are fine enough, but this mod will make Bethesda’s RPG much more lootier than it already was.

Monitor144hz on Nexus Mods showed off his latest project called Loot Spillage NG, which gives players more loot when killing enemies. Unlike the base game, this mod gives players access to all of the enemy’s loot once they die, all of which are color-coded now. These new colors indicate which type of loot they are, so players can ignore them if they don’t need them.

Here’s what each color means in this new Skyrim mod, via PCGamesN:

  • Red – Weapons
  • Purple – Armor
  • Green – Consumable/Ingredient
  • Yellow – Key/Valuable
  • Teal – Miscellaneous

Making the gear more color-coordinated adds an arcade feel to the RPG that you don’t usually get when booting up this Bethesda RPG. While most fans will agree that this is a good game, it’s the stories and freedom that get people playing, not the combat or loot. However, this mod might do a good job of convincing fans that Bethesda should make more games like this.

Overall, fans will have a good time booting up this Skyrim mod and hacking down foes for that good loot. Even if the combat isn’t usually that exciting, this mod gives fans of looter-based titles a reason to invest in it more.

Diablo 4 and Borderlands seem to be doing okay these days, so fans can just pick them up if they want something grindy or arcade-like. Granted, Diablo 4 does have an annoying online-only requirement but fans that can get over that are in for a good time with the iconic hack-n-slash RPG.
