Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.
Many have focused on changing the game by adding new unmarked locations, interesting wildlife, and tougher bandits to it, with a few even going as far as completely rejuvenating the unique abilities offered to each of Tamriel’s races or giving you the chance to become high priest of your own temple.
If you’re the kind of sneaky player who usually ends up doing stealthy deeds for the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild whenever you leave home, a recently released mod might be worth taking a look at.
Feel like adding some new moves to your stealthy Skyrim character’s arsenal?
The mod in question is called ‘Elder Creed - Movement’, and is the work of modder KarsSG, who is a part of the ‘Elder Creed’ project, which, as you might imagine, aims to recreate a bunch of animations from the Assassin’s Creed series in Skyrim.
While this group has previously produced the likes of an AC Valhalla-inspired moveset for one-handed swords and an AC Odyssey-inspired set of dual dagger strikes, this time they’ve seemingly decided to opt for something a bit more peaceful.
As you can see in the showcase video above, this latest work completely revamps how your character’s walking, running and idle stances, giving them a gait that’ll help them still feel like the stealthy operator they are when they’re striding through locations they don’t mind being seen in.
The set of animations, which require both Felisky384’s ‘Dynamic Animation Replacer’ and Ershin’s ‘True Directional Movement - Modernised Third Person Gameplay’, are also versatile enough to possibly appeal to those who want to enjoy some fresh-looking actions without having to commit to a playthrough with an explicitly Assassin’s Creedy vibe.
On the other hand, if you are looking to spend several hundred hours tailing targets and committing a series of stabbings, but aren’t a fan of the creation club Spell Knight Armor being worn by KarsSG in the video, you might want to grab another recently released mod, ChakraSSE’s ‘Shrouded Hand Armor’.
This set of stealthy gear is based on the Dark Brotherhood’s vanilla-shrouded armour, but boasts a unique colour scheme, in addition to a matching dagger and staff.
