Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.
Many have focused on changing the game by adding everything from fresh voice acting to completely overhauled quests and terrifying zombies to it, with a few even going as far as making all of its NPCs non-hostile or freezing player characters until The Elder Scrolls 6 arrives.
If you’re someone who’s more interested in finding somewhere interesting to chill out between dungeon delves or store all of the cool collectables you’ve picked up during your adventures and don’t fancy living on a farm or in Hermaeus Mora’s realm, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.
Feel like moving your Skyrim character into a lodge located inside a magical cavern this weekend?
The mod in question is called ‘Fjalda-Fel - A Pocket Dimension Home’, and is the work of modder DexModsOfficial. Their previous house building projects have given your Dragonborn the chance to live in a houseboat and a remote Nordic hut in the snowy wilderness.
This time, they’ve decided to create a comfy cabin with an enchanting twist, by situating it in a pocket dimension with an ecosystem that combines snowy fauna with the glowing fungi and rocks of Blackreach.
As you can see from the excellent selection of promo screenshots on the mod’s page, the chalet has plenty of features despite its compact size, being fully furnished, outfitted with all of the storage you’ll need and even boasts a bunch of crafting stations, with only a staff enchanter and spider-breeding contraption being omitted.
There’s even a small fishing pond in the garden, in addition to an indoor aquarium where you can store the three most interesting specimens from your latest catch, while an outhouse tucked away beside the cabin ensures maximum immersion.
In order to access this prime piece of interdimensional real estate, you’ll want to head to the Tower of Mzark, where, by the lift that takes you back to the surface of Skyrim, you’ll find a chest containing the two Dwemer cubes you’ll need to teleport to your new home and access its storage remotely.
You can even bring along any companions you might be travelling with, ensuring that your pocket dimension retreat only has to be as isolated as you wish it to be.
Regardless of whether your Dragonborn is now settling into their picturesque new digs, make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the interesting world of Skyrim modding.
