Where to find Moondew Nectar in Slime Rancher 2
Moondew Nectar is an elusive new food type in Slime Rancher 2. It can only be found on the Starlight Strand, in the area where Flutter Slimes reside, and grows out of a purple flower one at a time.
According to the Slimepedia, this is what is known about the Moondew Nectar:
"This sweet syrup comes from Rainbow Island's most unusual plant, the moondew flower, which only blooms at night. Initially scientists thought the buds of this flower never opened. But that was just because they tended to call it quits around 5, maybe 4:45 if they were trying to beat traffic.
That is, until that fateful night when one Dr. Arnold Penobscott forgot about Daylight Savings Time and wound up working an hour late. As he went to grab his jacket he was surprised to see the moondew flower, in full bloom. That's just how discoveries are made sometimes."
These new butterfly-themed Slimes are found way up in the ruins towards the South East of the Starlight Strand, and around them is the rare Moondew plant. They grow on cliff sides and on top of trees mostly, or on top of rocks. Think of them like the Kookadoba fruits in Ogden's minigame from the original Slime Rancher.

As discovered by Dr. Penobscott, Moondew only grows in the evening and will spoil overnight. You'll need to be quick in gathering it, and be in the area while the sun goes down - from about 5 PM onwards. There will be wild and hungry Flutter Slimes around, too, that will try and eat the Nectar, so be quick and grab it for yourself.
You can't grow Moondew Nectar it in the Conservatory, either, so you'll need to dedicate a few evenings to collecting the Dew.
We don't recommend farming it to feed the Flutter Slimes; for this, you're better off creating Flutter Largos with another type of Slime, so they can eat other produce. What you will need the Moondew Nectar for is the Flutter Gordo, found in the same area.
What can I use Moondew Nectar for?
The only thing that the Nectar is used for (at least in the early access version of the game), is to feed Flutter Slimes and the Flutter Gordo. As mentioned, we recommend just using it for the Gordo, as you'll need at least 25 Nectars to feed it so it pops, and reveals a new path.
There may be more kinds of Nectar added into the game, perhaps to feed other Slime types or as an alternative food for the Flutters.
