Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is a first-person horror survival game set in an alternate Chornobyl Exclusion Zone simply known as the Zone. The last Stalker game was released in 2009, so this fourth entry marks the series’ long-awaited return.

Can you play Stalker 2 with friends?
Stalker 2 will have a multiplayer mode but it won’t be available at launch. It will be added to the game in a post-launch update.
Not too many details have been revealed about Stalker 2 multiplayer just yet. As of writing this article, it has yet to be confirmed if the multiplayer for Stalker 2 will be co-op or PvP though previous Stalker games have had player-versus-player modes. Stalker fans have been wanting a co-op mode for quite some time now, and Heart of Chernobyl is a great opportunity to grant that wish.
No date for this update has been given yet either, but we do know that Stalker 2 is scheduled to come out on September 5, 2024. We’ll be updating this guide when more information becomes available, so be sure to check back in with us at a later time.
