If you’re a big Star Wars fan, odds are you’re looking forward to the imminent arrival of the next entry in Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi series.

While the sequel to 2019’s Fallen Order seemingly features tons of new quests and revamped mechanics, as well as an array of cool locations and characters for those who’ve been avoiding reading any pre-release musings to discover for the first time.

However, it seems that those who have been gobbling up info on the game haven’t exactly been filled with confidence by what they’ve read, with many already preparing to have to troubleshoot performance issues before they can properly appreciate Cal Kestis’ fresh trim.

Are you worried about encountering performance issues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor when it releases tomorrow?

Their FPS-based fears can be seen across a number of recent threads on social hubs like Reddit and ResetEra, some of which began with the posting of the numerous reviews of the game published yesterday.

Our own review, conducted using the Playstation 5 version of the game, saw a number of performance-related issues crop up, including considerable drops in frame rate, especially while exploring open environments, and some screen tearing.

Naturally, problems like this, which seem to be affecting both console and PC versions of the game to various degrees, have galvanised some fans to start prepping to find solutions they can employ as soon as they dive into the game, rather than having to wait for patches to arrive.

As such, there’s already been a request submitted from some of those who frequent the subreddit r/fallenorder for a thread focused on performance issue discussion to be pinned to the top of the page in anticipation of release, with user Professional-Lie4437 saying: “I don't want to (have to scroll through) spoilers while searching for (ways to) improve gameplay.”

Meanwhile, over on ResetEra, user hlhbk has set up a thread aimed at allowing PC players specifically to post about the game’s performance alongside their rig’s specs, in order to help facilitate the finding of solutions and possibly inform those who’re still on the fence about buying the game.
