Wondering who the Star Wars Outlaws villain will be? While we already know the game will be open world and feature the main protagonist in Kay Vess, we don't know much more about the next iteration in the franchise. One looming question that players want answered is exactly who they will be fighting against in Star Wars Outlaws.

Any Star Wars show, movie, or video game needs a larger-than-life villain to who gives the main character someone to oppose. If you already know when Star Wars Outlaws is set, then you might assume the Galactic Empire as a whole will be the primary villain throughout the game. However, according to the reveal trailers, there could be a few other villains who make an appearance.

Who are the villain in Star Wars Outlaws?

At the time of writing, Ubisoft has not confirmed much in terms of who the villain will be in Star Wars Outlaws. Although, by going through the trailers and the time period when Outlaws takes place, we can make a few guesses.

First and foremost, our main character, Kay Vess, apparently has a bounty on her and is seeking freedom and a new life somewhere in the galaxy. It's unclear who put the bounty on her head, though. Whoever or whatever did that is likely going to be our primary antagonist in Outlaws.

It's easy to assume that the Galactic Empire will be the primary villain in Outlaws, as the game is set in between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, which is when the Empire is still at large. However, this time period also has some more stationary villains that could come into play.

During one of the gameplay trailers, we see that Kay Vess encounters the Pykes, perhaps on their home planet of Oba Diah. The Pykes are a part of the Pyke Syndicate, and have appeared in The Book of Boba Fett and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Pykes specialise in spice trading, which could play into why they are apparently hunting Kay Vess in Star Wars Outlaws. It remains to be seen just how involved the Pykes will be in the upcoming game, though.

Another villain that could very well play a part in Kay Vess' journey in Outlaws is the Hutts. We know the Hutts are active during the time period of Outlaws and crime boss Jabba the Hutt is alive and well on his home planet of Tatooine. Tatooine was seemingly shown off in the trailers for Outlaws, meaning that Kay Vess could end up traveling there at some point and having a run-in with either Jabba or the Hutts in general. It's also a possibility that Jabba could have placed the initial bounty on Kay Vess' head. It would make sense, given Jabba's history when he threatened a bounty on Han Solo's head in A New Hope.

At the time of writing, those are the three main villains that make sense to appear in Star Wars Outlaws. However, it's possible that a larger villain could be in play when the game releases sometime in 2024.
