What is a Stardew Valley Rainbow Shell?
A Rainbow Shell possesses a bluey-purple colour that can be used as a gift for some of the villagers. Although it's not required for any bundles or recipes, the shell does have plenty of uses. You can use it to create a dyable bikini top or as a dye for any colour when using a sewing machine.
The Rainbow Shells are also needed to complete the Mysterious Qi and Fish Pond quests that need a foraged Rainbow Shell and can also be sold for plenty of gold.

There are several locations where you can find a Rainbow Shell in Stardew Valley. Here's the full list:

Stardew Valley Rainbow Shell price
Depending on what Rainbow Shells you manage to find, there are different prices that you can sell them for. The standard Rainbow Shell sells for 300 Gold while silver-tiered Shells sell for 275 Gold.
The most valuable Rainbow Shells are the Iridium-level which go for a price of 600 Gold. If you've got plenty stored in a Big Chest, you could make plenty of money with ease.
