There are three religious traits in Starfield, and you can get the Raised Universal trait upgrade if you join the Sanctum Universum. If you are wondering what the Starfield Raised Universal trait chest rewards are and if they are worth picking up, our guide will help you make the right decision.
The Raised Universal trait effect states that you grew up as a member of the Sanctum Universum. You gain access to a special chest full of items in the Sanctum Universum in New Atlantis, but lose access to the House of the Enlightened chest.
Before we discuss the Starfield Raised Universal trait rewards further, here’s a guide to using the Starfield scanner that you might find helpful. If you are not sure if you want to continue using your current build, we have a guide on how to respec in Starfield as well.
How to get the Starfield Raised Universal trait chest rewards
To get the Raised Universal rewards you need to travel to the Sanctum Universum in Starfield to gain access to the chest. Here’s how you can head there:
- Head to New Atlantis
- Travel to the MAST District via the NAT
- Head left until you find a gold building (Sanctum Universum HQ)
If you pick the Raised Universal trait at the start, you will be able to get some special rewards.
Starfield Raised Universal trait chest rewards
There are seven rewards that you get for using the Raised Universal Trait, which include:
- Sanctum Universum Vol. 1 (book)
- Sanctum Universum Vol. 2 (book)
- Sanctum Universum Vol. 3 (book)
- Six Med Packs
- Two Heart+
- Drink Pack: Orange Juice
- Festive Neocity Poncho/Neocity Urbanwear
The Neocity clothing is what stands out among these rewards. The issue with picking the Raised Universal Trait is that the other options are vastly superior, and the rewards are not appealing enough to warrant using the trait.
Should I choose the Raised Universal trait in Starfield?
The only advantage you have when using the Trait is that you will get access to some special dialogue with the Sanctum Universum faction. We recommend going for the Kid Stuff or Dream House trait instead which can give better rewards and are more beneficial for gameplay.
How to remove the Raised Universal trait in Starfield
You'll want to get rid of the Raised Universal Trait as soon as possible, and here’s how you can do so:
- Find Keeper Aquilus in the Sanctum Universum in New Atlantis and speak to him
- Pick the dialogue option “[Raised Universal] I know I was raised in the Sanctum. But I’m not sure I believe anymore.”
- Choose “[Remove Raised Universal Trait permanently] I’m sorry. I just don’t believe."
We recommend looting the chest in the Sanctum Universum in New Atlantis before removing the trait, as you will not be able to access it later.
