Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been on a downward spiral since its launch in January this year.
The game has never surpassed 5,000 players on Steam since January and the second highest peak players the game had aside from its 13,000-player launch day was way back in March, topping at 3,042 players on Steam.
One can say that the game has slowly flatlined since its release and Rocksteady has recently confirmed that the game will stop receiving support for future seasons with the latest Season 4 Episode 8 as the last online content players can have.
With the last episode coming up this December, players will get to play as Deathstroke in the upcoming Season 4 Episode 7. While many consider this as the dying breath of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's online feature, many fans appreciate that offline mode will still let them play the game.

Players are happy to get the game on sale if it means that they will still get to play it via offline mode. Some games like The Crew, never gave the consumers a chance to play the game again once it got delisted in many digital storefronts.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's business model makes it so that it is a game as a service, which will require constant updates and new content. Add on to its negative initial reception, Suicide Squad was set to have a challenging time in 2024 considering that its live service features were the ones that were negatively received by gamers and critics.
It was a game that had a neck bomb strapped into it, waiting for its eventual doom. While it further adds lore to the story of the Arhamverse, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lacked the charm the previous games had and became the $200 million flop of 2024.
