Tekken 8 is getting a ton of praise for being one of the most content-rich fighting games in recent memory, as it's packed with modes. It turns out that the game is getting even more modes soon, as game director Katsuhiro Harada has said a new free Story Mode is coming.
Correcting a post that detailed some future content, Harada confirmed that a new Story Mode will show what the DLC characters were up to during the main story. Harada has to correct the post since it initially said that each DLC character would have a story, which is incorrect.
In addition to fleshing out the story of Tekken 8, the free mode will also let players try out DLC characters if they haven’t purchased them yet. So, for players who want to see how different Eddy Gordo will be from his previous appearances, the free story will let you try him out.
At the time of writing, Eddy Gordo is still the only confirmed DLC character for Bandai Namco’s premiere fighter, with three more to be released. While none of them have been officially confirmed yet, it seemed like Josie Rizal was going to be one of the DLC characters. Fans will have to wait for more information from Bandai Namco, though the game will make sure they aren’t bored while waiting.
Fighting game fans have loved what they’ve played of Tekken 8, as the game has so much to do for online and offline players. The fact that this game has so many unlockables will ensure players will be fighting here for a very long time. Many have also argued that Bandai Namco’s fighter has handled cosmetics better than Street Fighter 6, which charges people real money for lame avatar costumes.
