HoYoverse has finally confirmed a series of new weapons coming to Genshin Impact 5.1 after several leaks and speculations that have heightened excitement for the upcoming patch.
The recent livestream detailed the new content in the update, which will be released on October 9.
Titled The Rainbow Destined to Burn, it will continue the main Archon Quests in the nation of Natlan from update 5.0 and introduce Xilonen as both an NPC and a playable character.
While these are some of the main attractions, the update has much more in store. So, to give fans an overview, here are the new weapons in Genshin Impact 5.1.
Peak Patrol Song
Peak Patrol Song is a five-star sword that will soon be introduced in Genshin Impact 5.1, known as Xilonen's signature weapon.
This weapon features an obsidian blade with unparalleled sharpness, capable of cutting through even the toughest enemies Xilonen encounters.
Weighing as light as a song, it can be effortlessly wielded by Xilonen and other characters like Chiori and Albedo. Thanks to a skilled artisan, it comes equipped with a detachable Phlogiston Device that plays records.
As detailed by Honey Hunter World, it has a medium-range base ATK stat of 542 at level 90.
The sword also boasts an impressive DEF sub-stat of 82.690%, making it the perfect weapon for characters who rely on DEF to enhance their abilities.
Peak Patrol Song possesses a weapon skill called Halcyon Years Unending. After hitting an enemy with a normal or plunging attack, the user gains a temporary buff called Ode to Flowers, which increases their DEF by 8% and grants a 10% All Elemental DMG Bonus for six seconds, stacking up to two times.
When it reaches two stacks or the duration of the second stack is refreshed, all nearby party members' All Elemental DMG Bonus will increase by 8% for every 1,000 DEF, up to a maximum of 25.6% for 15 seconds.
Sturdy Bone
Sturdy Bone is a four-star sword that will be part of Version 5.1's weapons banner and will later be added to the regular loot pool across banners after its debut.
Compared to Peak Patrol Song, it has a high base ATK stat of 564.7 at level 90, further enhanced by an ATK sub-stat of 27.5% at the same level.
While this weapon can benefit DPS units that rely on a higher ATK stat to increase their overall damage output, it will be particularly effective for specific characters due to its skill called Trapper's Pride.
This skill reduces Sprint or Alternate Sprint Stamina Consumption by 15% while increasing Normal Attack DMG by 16% of their ATK, expiring after being triggered 18 times or after seven seconds.
These make Sturdy Bone an excellent weapon for Ayato, Ayaka, and Clorinde due to their reliance on Normal Attacks and minimal need for Sprint to trigger bonuses.
Mountain-Bracing Bolt
In addition to swords, Genshin Impact 5.1 will include a four-star polearm called Mountain-Bracing Bolt.
This weapon may have a high base ATK stat of 565 at level 90 and a low Energy Recharge sub-stat of 30% at the same level, but the skill it possesses is unlike any other.
Its Hope Beyond the Peaks decreases the user's Climbing Stamina Consumption by 15% and boosts Elemental Skill DMG by 12%.
Elemental Skill DMG can also be increased by an additional 12% for eight seconds after another nearby party member uses an Elemental Skill.
Mountain-Bracing Bolt is best utilized by an off-field sub-DPS character, such as Kachina.
Her Elemental Skill, Turbo Twirly, can deal extra damage to opponents with this weapon, while the main DPS can simultaneously attack enemies. The same can be said for Emilie's off-field Skill.
Fruitful Hook
Fruitful Hook can be considered one of the best additions in Version 5.1.
This weapon is a four-star claymore with a high base ATK stat of 565 at level 90 and a reliable ATK sub-stat of 27.5% at the same level.
Fruitful Hook's best feature is its weapon skill, The Weight of Falling Branches, which can increase the Plunging Attack CRIT Rate by 16%.
That said, it is the best weapon for Gaming, as it can easily enhance his build in Genshin Impact, especially for players who do not possess five-star weapons yet.
It is best suited for his Plunging and regular attacks and can also work well with other Claymore characters, such as Chongyun, Eula, Freminet, and Razor.
From limited-time events and bonuses, among others, Genshin Impact 5.1 has a number of new features that fans will surely enjoy. These weapons are just some new additions, and players should watch out for more.
