The Outer Worlds is getting its second expansion, The Murder on Eridanos, later this year.
Following on from the noir-tinged Peril on Gorgon, Obsidian's first-person RPG has been popular – offering a Fallout-style title without Fallout 76's multiplayer hangups.
Here's everything we know about the expansion.

What Is The Murder on Eridanos DLC?
The expansion will offer a space-bound murder mystery adventure.
"The core of Murder on Eridanos is to solve a crime… and murder is just the beginning of what you will find," a new PlayStation Blog post explains.
"You will have to interrogate witnesses, learn about potential alibis, and argue who you believe is responsible. This also leads to some entertaining outcomes as it is up to you to decide what to do. Do you falsely accuse an innocent spectator? Do you present a poor case with lack of evidence? How will others respond? What happens if you try to convince people that you somehow are responsible for the murder? Yes, even that is possible!"
Release Date
The expansion arrives next week, on March 17.
For Switch players, you'll need to wait a little longer – but the expansion is slated for this calendar year (2021).
Price
The expansion will cost $14.99 and is included in an Expansion Pass with the next expansion for $24.99. You'll also get a 10% discount if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.

Interview
A new interview with Nitai Poddar, who is one of the Narrative Designers over at Obsidian Entertainment was published by VG247.com
While there was plenty of topics touched on in regards to the new DLC, there are some key details that have been detailed.
While the new DLC promises to live up to the expectations, it appears the development process is one that had the team at Obsidian thinking about how to exactly incorporate the murder mystery theme.
We knew it was going to be a murder mystery, but we were asking ourselves as a team the same questions you’re asking now. How do we do a murder mystery in Halcyon? A setting that is very much about corporate authority, factory workers and that sort of thing
Our director Megan [Starks] would take a look at them and say: ‘go for it, sounds like a good time’, so there’s a lot of weirdness in this expansion, which is a direct result of writers – possibly in some kind of quarantine-related haze – doing nonsensical things for the fun of it
