Recently, The Pokémon Company won $15 million versus a mobile game called Pocket Monster Reissue.
Launched in 2015, Pocket Monster Reissue is a turn-based mobile game that earned $42 million in a single year, according to The Pokémon Company. This revenue translated into a massive number of sales, which, of course, wouldn’t go unnoticed. The game used Pokémon characters such as Ash, Misty, Professor Oak, Pikachu, and many others. There is even a gameplay video that showcases Wartortle, which had Squirtle’s face shape and tail.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have already stopped many projects. The popular Switch emulator Yuzu has paid Nintendo $2.4 million in damages. According to Nintendo, the emulator has promoted piracy of Switch games, which led to the lawsuit. Just recently, Nintendo filed a patent lawsuit against Pocketpair due to some patented mechanics allegedly used for its game Palworld.
In other Nintendo news, new rumors about the Switch 2 have started circulating again online. This time, CAD images of the new console have surfaced from a manufacturing facility in China. The leaked images also showed a possible printed circuit board for the Switch 2, and new magnetic Joy-Cons will possibly replace the current slide-in rail for the controllers.
