April 1, 2024: Updates to the Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle tier list will not be forthcoming until a Global release. According to a developer announcement, the game was mistakenly listed on app stores outside of Japan, but an update on Dec. 28,, 2021 removed it and blocked players attempting to access the game outside of Japan.

It's too early for a definitive Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle tier list, but with a pity and reroll system already in place, we're going to do our best to outline which pulls you should strive to keep in this new mobile gacha game.

Released in conjunction with the franchise's first new anime series since the 90s, it's also its first jaunt into the mobile game space. At its core, it's a turn-based battler with deck-building elements where the cards you bring into play will ultimately affect the commands you can issue in combat.

Right now, you can only play Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle in Japanese. If that rules it out of your mobile game rotation, check out our best gacha games list for some viable alternatives. And if you somehow end up playing the same one as everyone else, you'll want to check out our Cookie Run: Kingdom tier list before you start using all the free gems gleaned from our Cookie Run: Kingdom codes guide.

Though far from complete at the game's launch, the current Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle tier list should give you a rough idea of which of its iconic anime shamans you should want to seek out. Aside from those in the bottom tier, others—typically viewed as main characters like Yoh, Hao, and Anna—can be acquired as three-star units right from the get-go.

Odds are low given how many Vision Cards and one-star supporting shamans you're likely to pull instead, but as they start at a high rank, they're worth looking out for, especially more so than lower-grade characters. This is doubly true at the start of the game when resources are slim.

How Do I Perform a Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle Reroll?

Despite being entirely in Japanese, it's easy for any player to perform a Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle reroll. As soon as the game begins, you're ushered into performing your first ten-pull—a signature action in any gacha game. Unlike most, though, not only are you guaranteed at least one three-star shaman this way, but you're also able to ditch the results and pull as many times as you like (for free) until you get the single ten-pull that you want.

Whether you wait for one character high on the Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle tier list, two characters, or just your favourite shaman from back when you watched the original anime in the 90s, so long as you don't commit to keeping the results of a pull, you can do it all over again.

After that, you'll land in the game and get the chance to pull again—this time with the 3,000 free gems waiting in your mailbox. You're free to keep hold of them until a new banner comes along (which is generally recommended in gacha games thanks to "creep"), but you can also use them to further your Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle reroll efforts instead. If you think you can do better than these two free pulls, just delete the game to wipe your data and start again. That's a reroll.

Once you're happy with your results, it's time to make an effort to understand the game and its mechanics. And when you think you're all set to stick around and see how the game evolves over time, hop into the settings tab and tap the icon featuring two devices and an arrow going between them. That's how you'll tie your account and allow for data transfers between two devices (like a phone and tablet).

Will Shaman King Funbari Chronicle Get an English Release?

Though there's been no word on it just yet, there's probably a good chance that Shaman King Funbari Chronicle will get an English release down the line. With the new show proving popular and likely introducing a whole new generation (or two) to its mystical, modern world, it's hard to believe the publisher wouldn't want to somehow capitalize on its success.

Gacha games may not be as big in the west as they are in Japan and Southeast Asia, but with anime tie-ins like Konosuba and Slime Isekai quickly making the jump overseas, it's not too hard to imagine the same happening for the new Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle game as well.
